“Oscar Piastri Is a Snake”: Lando Norris Feels Huge Betrayal From His Teammate Before Going Head to Head on Track

Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri have been hitting off well on track as team progress this season is the only goal. However, ahead of a fun day out with the McLaren boys, Norris feels a betrayal from his teammate Oscar Piastri, as revealed by him on his recent vlog, before they go head-to-head against each other on the track.

Norris, along with Piastri, and Zak Brown, joined Ricky Flynn karting team in Italy right before the Italian Grand Prix. And Norris revealed that it’s been long since he has taken up karts.

On the other hand, he wasn’t pleased with his teammate. According to him, the Aussie race driver had some action with the wheel, and that’s why he felt a pinch of betrayal.

Lando Norris calls Oscar Piastri a snake

Norris claimed that it’s been a while since he did karting. So, he felt a bit rusty. But, as per him, that was not the case with Piastri, who was sharp enough with his recent activity with the team.

“Oscar [Piastri] has been testing. Oscar [Piastri] has been a little snake. He has been testing our PF. He’s been testing a few different tracks. So, warm, he’s ready,” said Norris.

Norris then said that because of that, he’s on a backfoot. But that shouldn’t go as an excuse, and certainly, they go for a round of karting competition.

The battle on equal karts

With Norris competing against Piastri and Brown, the competition started with a practice session, with the Australian race driver edging past both his opponents. However, coming to the next session of their mini Grand Prix, it was qualifying time, and Norris edged Piastri by almost three-tenths of a second.

With this, Norris took the pole and it was all about the ultimate competition. And it was obvious that it was between the two people, as Brown is nowhere near the skillset of both his drivers, despite being a car enthusiast.

In the end, Norris was defeated by his younger teammate in the race by a decent margin. Surely, that is something Norris wouldn’t want to be reflected in F1 races, too.
