Pierre Gasly Snubs Yuki Tsunoda by Choosing ‘Best Friend’ Charles Leclerc for Sharing Good Times
Pierre Gasly has never been shy of telling the world that Charles Leclerc is his best friend. And the sentiment is often reciprocated by the Monegasque race driver too. However, in the last two years, Yuki Tsunoda also became a close friend of Gasly. Yet, in a video by Bleacher Report, the Frenchman snubs his former teammate and chose Leclerc while announcing with whom he would choose to have a good vacation.
It shouldn’t be surprising, as Leclerc and Gasly have grown up together. Considering the two are from the same generation, they have been around each other since their karting days.

Therefore, even after hectic competition between them, their friendship always bloomed. Both drivers are in Formula 1 and doing considerably well in their careers.
Pierre Gasly ditches Yuki Tsunoda for Charles Leclerc
While Leclerc would be his best friend, Gasly didn’t hesitate to choose his Monegasque friend and snub Tsunoda. He also quickly said that Leclerc is his best friend on the grid.
“Besides your teammate who would you take for a vacation?” Gasly was asked. “Charles Leclerc, he’s my best friend,” replied the Alpine driver.
With this, it seems Leclerc is a good company during a vacation. The two have gone out together before, and in April, during the F1 break, the two even went to watch the Monte Carlos Masters.
The never-ending love
Leclerc and Gasly are childhood friends, but Gasly is not less fond of Tsunoda. The duo at AlphaTauri was separated at the end of the last season when Gasly traded his services to Alpine.

But before leaving his previous team, Gasly mentioned that he would miss Tsunoda, with whom he had a great time as a teammate. In the latest season of Drive to Survive, Gasly even mentioned the Japanese driver as his ‘little brother’.
Nevertheless, there shouldn’t be any doubt over how much Gasly cares about Tsunoda, even if Leclerc was chosen for the vacation. In fact, without Gasly as his teammate, Tsunoda is getting a chance to be the senior on the team and showcase his true potential.
