Proud Kimi Raikkonen Reveals Podium Finish for His Daughter After Son Robin’s Success

Kimi Raikkonen’s son Robin Raikkonen getting his first-ever podium finish became big news earlier this week. Now for Kimi, the amount of pride he was feeling has been doubled with his daughter too securing a podium finish.

Rianna Raikkonen is just five years old but is already intrigued by the world of racing. She takes part in go-karting competitions with drivers her age and stood on the podium recently. Kimi took to his Instagram account to reveal that both his children earned podium finishes in their respective races.

“Busy weekend, two podiums,” Kimi wrote on Instagram.

Raikkonen’s son Robin secured a P3 finish by defeating drivers who were three years older than him. His godfather Gino Rosato was ecstatic about this and hailed him as a future F1 star. Rosato also praised his parents, Kimi and Minttu for the way they raised him.

Legacy left behind by Kimi Raikkonen

Raikkonen is one of the most unique personalities to ever race in F1. While most people today remember him for his off-track shenanigans, including the famous media interviews, Raikkonen was a force to reckon with on the track.

He won just one world championship, in 2007 with Ferrari but there were races where he matched the likes of Fernando Alonso and Michael Schumacher in his peak days. Some of his best races were with McLaren but it was Ferrari, who helped him win his first and only world championship.

In 2021, Raikkonen announced his retirement from F1, but leaves behind a huge legacy, both because of his racing and his persona in the paddock. Raikkonen also remains Ferrari’s last world champion.

Raikkonen remains Ferrari’s last world champion

Raikkonen won the 2007 F1 world championship with Ferrari, and the team won the constructors’ title a year after. Since then, the legendary outfit has failed to win even a single world title, despite having legendary drivers like Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel at the helm.

As a result, even though Raikkonen has retired, he remains one of the most loved figures among the Tifosi. The Maranello-based outfit are desperate to win a world title, and they hope that Charles Leclerc will be the one who delivers. Until then, Raikkonen’s legacy at Ferrari will remain intact.
