Red Bull Boast New Problem and Max Verstappen Is at the Root Cause of It

Max Verstappen winning every other race with the RB-19 is apparently a problem for Red Bull now. And their star driver appears to be the miscreant behind that problem.

Red Bull’s domination in 2023 has bothered many who blame the constructor for making F1 boring. But it would also be a hassle for the Milton Keynes outfit that was not thought of before.

And now, more podium success is likely to get in Verstappen’s way this season, it seems like Red Bull needs to adjust it even more. So what exactly is bothering Verstappen’s team amidst overwhelming success?

Verstappen causes storage problem at Red Bull

Verstappen is breaking every record that is coming his way. Recently, he overtook Sebastian Vettel’s race-win tally with Red Bull. However, the constant flow of trophies has left Red Bull needing storage space.

Team Principal Christian Horner revealed in a press interview, “I’m a great believer in never having empty cabinets. So we’re filling them quicker than we can build them at the moment. But I think it’s always been a superstition that I’ve had, is win the trophies first and then get a cabinet.”

However, Horner does not want to complain about the team’s over-achieving phase. He said, “You’ve got to celebrate every moment in this sport because you never know how long it will last.”

Has Max Verstappen made F1 boring?

Years ago, Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko had predicted Max Verstappen could become the next Ayrton Senna of F1. However, the Austrian was ridiculed for making such a bold statement about a teenager

Jump to today’s date, Verstappen is one win away from matching the Brazilian’s tally of 41 F1 wins. And very soon, we could see the Red Bull driver join Senna as a 3-time world champion claiming his hattrick of titles.

Marko responded to naysayers, “I compared Max to Senna a few years ago and was smiled at. The know-it-alls from back then are slowly running out of arguments. Max has not only developed as a racing driver but also as a personality.”

While the 2x champion has equaled legendary records at the age of 25, his unstoppable form has not sat well with many. Fans have turned away from F1, claiming the Dutchman has made the sport boring.

Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has asked FIA to intervene to make the sport more even. While defending IndyCar Champion Will Power believed Red Bull and Verstappen’s winning run has made F1 look like a “joke.”

Whether F1 has become boring because of the Red Bull driver is debatable. However, one must admire the youngster’s feat of crushing his competition at this young age. Someday, history would equate Red Bull and Verstappen’s combination to Schumacher in Ferrari or Hamilton in the mighty Mercedes.
