Red Bull chief reveals where Max Verstappen will find success after F1

Currently, Max Verstappen has his career completely centred around F1 with his contract with Red Bull running until the end of 2028.

And even though that’s a long way to go, the Dutchman has often talked about competing outside of F1 having given plenty of thoughts about his career beyond 2028.

While it is unclear at this stage what the 2-time world champion will do once he is done with F1, Red Bull chief Helmut Marko seems to have a pretty solid idea about it.

Marko believes that Verstappen can find success in endurance racing. the 25-year-old already is very enthusiastic about the virtual 24 hours of Le Mans and he even takes part in it on behalf of the Team Redline. This year the event is scheduled to be held from 14-15 January.

Helmut Marko’s gift that excited Max Verstappen

While speaking about Verstappen’s capability to succeed in endurance racing, the 79-year-old Austrian revealed he recently gave the Dutchman a gift that got him really excited.

Marko told Servus TV that he gave the Red Bull ace a book containing everything about big endurance races from the 1960s. It also had great pictures and Verstappen was immediately very interested.

Further opinionating on Verstappen’s future, the Red Bull chief said that given his speed and talent, no doubt Verstappen will find success in endurance.

Fernando Alonso wants Max Verstappen as a teammate

Even though the Dutchman’s current focus is on Formula 1 and adding more accolades to his shelf, he has already gotten an offer to go endurance racing in reality.

The offer was made by 2-time world champion and 2-time Le Mans winner, Fernando Alonso.

Speaking in an interview, the Spaniard said that he knows Verstappen has an interest in endurance racing and believes that if they can find a drive with a competitive team, they should participate in it together.
