Sebastian Vettel will not drive in F1 next season claims Gerhard Berger
Sebastian Vettel will not be driving in F1 next season claims Gerhard Berger, the German driver is yet to inform his new alliance.
Sebastian Vettel announced his departure from Ferrari, which will be enforced from the next season onwards. The German driver will compete in the races scheduled this season.
However, he still hasn’t told his future plans and many are claiming that the 32-year-old will probably join Mercedes, and the recent claim by Toto Wolff also fuelled the speculations.
Gerhard Berger is not optimistic that Sebastian Vettel will still be driving Formula 1 next year. He even invited Vettel to join Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM). He further said that he is not surprised that Sebastian Vettel and Ferrari have decided that their ways will separate after 2020.
“You could see it coming. He doesn’t have to blame himself. He joins many drivers who won Ferrari on the track. Gerhard Berger was one of them,” Berger smiled at Bild.
“But as a four-time world champion, Sebastian will be able to handle it easily. Few have been so successful. He wants to drive in a top team, but it is only possible at Mercedes. And I am afraid that the seats are also occupied there.”
Finally, Berger says he is happy that his country is the country that starts the Formula 1 action with two races in July. “This is thanks to the persistence of Red Bull, Didi Mateschitz and Helmut Marko. On the one hand, they have the potential, but above all the ability to perform.”
Apart from Ferrari, Vettel does have an option of joining Renault but considering his wage demands, the French team might not be able to afford him.

It is only Vettel who can tell one about his future destination, other than that people can just speculate.
