“Style and class you just can’t buy”- Carlos Sainz on Daniel Ricciardo’s dressing sense
“Style and class you just can’t buy”- Carlos Sainz mocks Daniel Ricciardo’s dressing sense after the latter made fun of his lifestyle.
Daniel Ricciardo has replaced Carlos Sainz at McLaren, with the latter aligning with Ferrari this year, and so far, both are happy with their places.
But it seems both are not pleased with each others’ dressing sense, as Sainz responds to the earlier statement made by Ricciardo on his lifestyle, as the Australian felt like his predecessor at McLaren dresses like a 60-year-old.
“Style and class you just can’t buy,” Sainz said, “he still tries to wear those fancy clothes, but he doesn’t know what it’s like to wear a decent shirt.”
Both are indeed opposite to each other in their wardrobe selection; while Sainz appears mostly in polo t-shirts and pants, Ricciardo mostly follows trendy and contemporary fashionwear.
Carlos Sainz dreamt of today.
Apart from this dressing jibe at Ricciardo, Sainz also talked about his stint at Ferrari, and he stated that the current treatment he has been receiving from the Maranello based team is what he all dreamt about.
“A solid nine. I’m very happy with my life at the moment. I saw the fans in front of the fences, they had made several banners to support me,” described Sainz: “Then I realized, okay, this is a moment I have been dreaming of for the last 15 years.”
Meanwhile, Ferrari would be pleased with Sainz performances, as in both races, he managed to be at the places where he was realistically expected to be.
The Spaniard and his partner Charles Leclerc have kept McLaren at their toes amidst the P3 battle this year, which is Ferrari’s target for this year.
Currently, Sainz is P6 in the drivers’ standings, only 11 points behind his teammate and two points behind Mercedes’ Valtteri Bottas.
