“The boys then always have to take the blame”- Sebastian Vettel thinks Ferrari cars are not fast for pit stops
“The boys then always have to take the blame”- Sebastian Vettel thinks Ferrari cars are not fast enough to make pit stops, and the blame goes to others.
Ferrari’s pit stops, especially with Sebastian Vettel has been horrendous this season, as today only the German had one of the slowest pit stops of the season, which nearly went more than 30 seconds long, forcing him to lose hard-earned positions.
Speaking on it, Vettel thinks that Ferrari cars, in general, are not fast enough for the pit stops, hence there is no point in finding a scapegoat in the crew members.
“I am so sorry for the guys. I think our car is simply not good for pit stops. The boys then always have to take the blame / pay for it. I am not angry.” he said.

Though it is puzzling how can a car be slow for pit stops, it seems like a jibe at Ferrari’s management as he further went onto criticize the team for a poor weekend, with no additional points on the table.
“Let’s not talk about it. Congratulations to Sergio. I am happy for him but at the same time, I am sorry to George. I think up until then he has driven a very good race, I don’t know what happened.”
“Nothing worked for us today. I had a hard time keeping up at all and I only defended. The speed was not good… Was a little bit irrelevant today.” he said.
Pleased with the result by his new team
While Ferrari is a sinking ship amidst the current environment, Racing Point has shown some promising performances, and now with Sebastian Vettel set to join the rebranded version of the team, he was delighted about their result when asked.
“Of course I am happy, firstly for @SChecoPerez and also for @lance_stroll , the double podium for the team. They (@RacingPointF1) deserved the points.”
Now, Vettel would be racing for Ferrari for the very last time on 20 December, as the season concludes in Abu Dhabi.
