During the podium celebration after the conclusion of the Hungarian Grand Prix, Lando Norris unintentionally broke Max Verstappen’s winner’s trophy. However, little did anyone know that the broken item was a delicate piece that was worth around $45,000. Now, Attila Simon, the CEO of Herend Porcelain announced that Verstappen will soon get a replacement for the trophy.
Norris, who finished P2, went about his trademark way of opening a champagne bottle on the podium by popping in on the step. As a result, the jerk threw the trophy overboard and it instantly shattered, leaving everyone astounded. However, the McLaren driver didn’t seem to care much about breaking it. In fact, Verstappen too, didn’t take it seriously, joking about it later on.
Trophies just aren’t safe when Lando’s on the podium! 😄

The footage of Norris breaking it went viral instantly but it may die out soon as Herend Porcelain (the makers of the prize)is ready to present Verstappen with a replacement.

Even though Verstappen’s trophy broke after the conclusion of the race, his winning streak didn’t. Furthermore, Verstappen’s team Red Bull broke Norris’ team McLaren’s record by becoming the first ever team to win 12 consecutive races in F1.
Max Verstappen standing before a streak of records
With his Hungarian GP win, Max Verstappen has taken seven back-to-back wins this season. He matched the likes of Sebastian Vettel, Nico Rosberg, Alberto Ascari, and Michael Schumacher. At the young age of 25, he has already etched his name on the history books.
One more win will take him to the second spot in terms of most consecutive wins with eight. Plus, if the Dutchman wins the next two races (Belgium and Zandvoort), he will share the stop spot with Vettel.
All these statistics show how mighty Max Verstappen and Red Bull have been throughout the season. As things stand, they are now looking to help Verstappen reach greater heights with the RB-19 and remain undefeated for the rest of the season.
