McLaren CEO Zak Brown has challenged Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff for a boxing match ahead of the 2023 Las Vegas GP. The American has also pitched Red Bull boss Christian Horner for a race.
Wolff has however refused the offer by Brown for a face-off in the ring. However, instead of being a spoilsport, the Austrian suggests the McLaren CEO and his arch-rival Horner could take on one another.
Wolff wants Zak Brown to fight Christian Horner
Dax Shepard and Charlie Curtis of the ‘Eff Won Podcast’ got a chance to interact with Toto Wolff ahead of the 2023 Miami GP. While the duo were fangirling upon meeting the Austrian, they couldn’t resist but ask him the obvious question.
Shepard asked if Wolff was prepared to fight Zak Brown and even claimed he placed a huge wager on the Mercedes boss’s victory. However, Wolff turned down the offer as he replied, “You guys should box rather than me.”
The 6′ 5″ Austrian is in great shape despite being 51 years of age. He has the looks, the body and the charm which means there are quite a lot of fans ready for the boxing match. Hence, the Austrian proposed a better plan.
He claimed Brown should fight Christian Horner and the winner could fight him instead. He added, “I am not going to do that. I think they should do a qualifying round between them and then I’ll take on the winner.”
Daniel Ricciardo places his bet on Wolff
On the ‘Eff Won podcast’ Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo revealed he also is excited if Toto Wolff and Zak Brown agree to a face-off. However, the Aussie doesn’t think his former team boss will win the bout.
Ricciardo claims he would be putting his money on the Austrian winning the boxing match, He said, “Toto’s a specimen. Totos an athlete. So no, I wouldn’t want to get in a ring with Toto. so that could be a blunder for sure.”

The Australian racer agrees with the host’s opinion of Wolff being the Alpha-male in the F1 grid. The driver said, “If he is not the coolest, then he is one of the coolest guys on the grid.”
Recently the Mercedes boss achieved a landmark net worth of $1 Billion. This is mainly because of the skyrocketing valuation of the Mercedes F1 team, of which he owns 33%. The team’s 8-years of indomitable success and Netflix boosting the popularity of the sport have aided Wolff in achieving his fortunes.
