Leclerc recovers lost ground in Baku after a poor start to the 2023 season
Charles Leclerc put his disappointment of the first three races behind him by recovering important lost ground at the Azerbaijan GP this past weekend. The 25-year-old kickstarted the weekend in Baku by registering an outstanding second-place finish in the sprint race and then followed it up with a third-place finish in the main race.
Consequently of these performances, he scored a total of 22 points this past weekend in Baku and increased his points tally to 28 for the season. As a result, Leclerc is now sixth in the championship and is just six points behind his Ferrari teammate Carlos Sainz.
After a strong performance in Baku, Leclerc will hope to carry forward this fantastic form to this weekend’s race in Miami. The race at the Miami International Autodrome takes place from May 5 to 7.
