Watch: Max Verstappen Sings His Favorite Song "Super Max" on Live Stream

Max Verstappen is one of the most famous athletes in the Netherlands, and wherever he races, his faithful orange army follows him. Even before Verstappen reached the top of F1 by winning his two world championships, he was immensely popular.

In 2016, just weeks after his maiden win in his Red Bull debut, Dutch music group, The Pitstop Boys released a song titled “Super Max”. This was released in the form of a music video and it became viral.

As Verstappen became more and more popular worldwide due to his success in F1, so did this song. Often, his supporters chant the lyrics of this song when they pack out the grandstands in races, to cheer him on.

During a live-streaming session where Verstappen was sim-racing, a fan asked the 25-year-old his favorite song. The Red Bull ace replied by singing the lyrics to “Super Max”, before he stopped and started laughing.

Effect on “Super Max” after Verstappen’s title victory

Verstappen won his first world championship in 2021, after a season long battle with Lewis Hamilton. The two of them produced one of the greatest championship fights of all time and it went right down to the wire. Under controversial circumstances, the Dutchman did win his first world title.

As expected, Verstappen’s title win made him a global superstar worldwide and consequently, more and more people found out about “Super Max”. The song became so viral, that it reached Spotify’s viral 50 in many countries.

Max Verstappen on course to winning third world title

Max Verstappen’s 2021 title win was difficult as he had to fend off Hamilton until the final lap of the season finale. On the other hand, his 2022 championship win was a relative walk in the park as he sealed his title retention with four races to spare.

In 2023, Red Bull has proved to be the most dominant team till now. If the Milton-Keynes-based outfit continue their current performance level, it is more than likely that Verstappen will win the championship for a third straight year.
