“We work really well together” – Mick Schumacher clarifies relationship with Haas teammate Nikita Mazepin
“We work really well together” – Mick Schumacher is focusing on his performance with Haas and teammate Nikita Mazepin, in the wake of speculation linking him to Alfa Romeo.
Shutting down suggestions linking him to Alfa Romeo, Mick Schumacher remains focused on his rookie season with Haas. The German is a Ferrari Driver Academy cadet and could race for either team next season, both powered by Ferrari.
“My focus is really on here [Haas]. Obviously, what is happening next year is something we will have to talk about in maybe some weeks’ time, but as I said, here and now, things are for me and the team right now and right here.”
Austria is over for now – time to spend some time at home and recharge. Next on the calendar is Silverstone, so I’ll make a pit stop at the @HaasF1Team factory. Looking forward to it🤩 #MSC47 pic.twitter.com/o7Dixg30mi

Schumacher Jr, the reigning F2 champion, is learning the trade of F1 this season, with a successful career anticipated. The team is yet to score a point but is doing well to complete most races.
He also spoke about his relationship with the driver on the other side of the garage, Nikita Mazepin. Contrary to suggestions they don’t get along well, Schumacher confirmed they work well and enjoy every moment of being in the Haas factory.
“Let’s say I am relatively happy.
“Performance-wise, it is tough but nonetheless, we have managed to get our way, we work really well together and I am really enjoying my time here, so much that it is easy for me to come early to work and leave work late because it is so enjoyable and I think it really reflects in our performance.
“The hard work will pay off at some point.”
