When Prompt Action by Fernando Alonso’s Ex-Girlfriend Saved His Stint at Alpine

Fernando Alonso was known to have a rock-solid relationship with Linda Morselli. So much so that the two even had a business venture named Kimoa, which the Spaniard still endorses on the F1 grid.

However, their heydays ended in 2021 when the pair decided to separate when Morselli was heartbroken by the sale of the majority stakes of their company. However, the couple once was far ahead in their relationship and even considered raising a family together.

They had such a strong connection that Morselli once proved vital when she saved the two-time world champion from suffering a prolonged injury that could have halted his re-entry in F1 back in 2021.

How Linda Morselli saved Fernando Alonso from losing any F1 time

Right before the start of the 2021 season, Alonso was riding his bike near his home in Switzerland. At that time, he was met with a horrible accident that left him with an injured jaw. So much that metal plates had to be installed in his mouth.

However, according to Business F1, it could have resulted in a prolonged injury if her former partner hadn’t taken matters into her own hand. The magazine states that she hired a top maxillofacial surgeon to treat him.

It gave him immediate results and shortened his return to an F1 cockpit. He even credits Morselli for saving several months of rehabilitation because of her prompt reaction.

Surely she saved the revival of his F1 career, as Alpine could have done anything under the unavailability of Alonso. Many questioned his return due to his age while other young drivers were still waiting for their shot.

Thus, Alpine could have backtracked from their decision under the public influence, and the timing could have never been nice to make it clean.

The two have moved on

After splitting at the end of the 2021 season, the two quickly went their separate ways. Alonso, in 2022 was reported to date Andrea Schlager, the F1 Presenter at Servus TV.

Meanwhile, Morselli was also successful in finding new love somewhere else. She currently dates Benjamin Alfonso, an Argentine actor. She even posted an image of her celebrating Argentina’s recent FIFA World Cup victory.

In 2023, Alonso would appear for Aston Martin after a bloodstained separation from Alpine. The Spaniard will have Lance Stroll as his new teammate next year.
