"You Mean to Tell Me Ferrari Can Actually Build a Fast Car?": Charles Leclerc Becomes the Butt of Jokes as Ferrari Wins Le Mans

Ferrari makes an incredible return to Le Mans 24-hour race with a win. However, the fans of the Italian side broke the internet while celebrating the win, as they got to see the team’s first success in 15 years. But at the same time, they make some jokes about Charles Leclerc.

For long, Ferrari has focused solely on F1, yet they haven’t had a taste of success since 2008. But with their return to top-level endurance racing. That also includes Le Mans 24 Hours, which they won after dominating the entire contest.

Ferrari fans celebrate the win, however, not without bashing the F1 team and pitying Leclerc. Many fans took to the internet to call out Ferrari’s dearth of success in F1 and not providing sufficient resources for Leclerc to fulfill his potential as they built a terrific car for the Endurance.

Ferrari fans in disbelief after Le Mans win

The Maranello-based team gave its fans something to cheer about. However, in return, it also received some mocking. Clara, on Twitter, while posting a picture of Charles Leclerc, gave an imaginative quote where Leclerc is discovering that Ferrari can build fast cars.

Stefanie, who is a Lewis Hamilton fan, wrote a satirical comment where she also posts a picture of puzzled Leclerc upon Ferrarei’s win.

Meanwhile, a motorsport follower, EliteHD1, is surprised that Antonio Giovinazzi ended up before Leclerc could win anything for the Scuderia. Though, he questions Ferrari’s capability in the end.

Leclerc also became the butt of jokes because he attended the 24-hour event to support Ferrari. The Monegasque seeing his peers achieving something, would also want himself to have some similar success.

Ferrari isn’t doing enough

Leclerc only got a real chance to aim for the championship in 2022. Even in that year, his team made constant mistakes that led to his downfall against Max Verstappen.

In 2023, his situation is even worse, as the Italian team is not even the second-best team and possibly stands fifth in terms of overall pace. Therefore, it’s natural for Leclerc and his fans to show some frustration.

He recently also revealed that Ferrari needs to do more as a team amidst his contract negotiations. With this, it remains to be seen for how long Leclerc will be hoping for better days as Ferrari continues on its title drought.
