International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) inaugurated a tournament named the Club World Cup in 2000. Having seen the Brazilian Outfit Corinthians lift this accolade in the above-mentioned year, the corresponding four seasons of this tournament got canceled out due to unknown problems.
This tournament comprises of the Champions from all the seven continents in this world. Over the last four years, it has been Spanish domination with Real Madrid winning it thrice and Barcelona lifting it once. Real Madrid and Barcelona are the front-runners with both the clubs lifting this trophy three times in their history.
The Los Blancos lifted the Champions League this season and will be taking on a team which is yet to be confirmed in the semifinals on December 19. On the other hand, the Argentine club River Plate will be facing another team who progress to this stage. This tournament will be held at United Arab Emirates (UAE).
