FIFA releases the list of nominations to win the Puskas award this year. The list includes all the worthy inclusions, who scored one of the most incredible goals of the season.

This time, there are three women footballers added to the list, and the race for the award seems even more tough, as all the goals are brilliant and tough to deliver.

All the goals up for consideration were scored between 16 July 2018 to 19 July 2019 inclusive and chosen by a panel of FIFA and external football experts.

Now, the top-3 goals will be declared after the public voting on FIFA.com which will close on the 1st September. The top three goals from the vote will be then put for a vote among FIFA Legends, who will decide the 2019 FIFA Puskás Award winner.

There are some expected goals in the list like Lionel Messi’s lobbed goal against Real Betis, Andros Townsend’s magnificient volley goal against Manchester City and Zlatan Ibrahimovic spinning goal against Toronto FC.

Prolific Sampdoria frontman Fabio Quagliarella is another who displayed lightning-fast reflexes to flick a low cross through his own legs and into the bottom corner.

Elsewhere, Matheus Cunha spun and dinked his way into consideration when turning out for RB Leipzig against Bayer Leverkusen. This is the only individual award Barcelona man has not won in his career. Last time, it was 2015, when he came close to win it, but ended up second with the slightest margin.

On the other hand, his rival Cristiano Ronaldo has already won the award to boast an upper hand in the trophy collection.
