During the third ODI of the ongoing India Women’s tour of England in Worcester, India Women batter Smriti Mandhana grabbed a first-rate catch to dismiss an in-form Nat Sciver.
It all happened on the third delivery of the 38th over when Sciver’s attempt of playing an aerial shot to reach to her half-century led to her dismissal.
Taking on India all-rounder Deepti Sharma, Sciver aimed to hit her between deep mid-wicket and long-on. Having said that, a closed face of the bat refrained her from clearing the ground.

Mandhana, who was fielding at deep mid-wicket, ran to her left before timing her dive to perfection and completing an acrobatic fielding effort. A catch which had it in it to lift the whole team’s morale, India have hinted at applying breaks to the English progress after three wickers in quick succession.
Coming in to bat at No. 4 in the 17th over, Sciver departed after scoring 49 (59) with the help of five fours. Earlier, England captain Heather Knight had played well for her 46 (71) comprising of four fours.
Winning the toss for the first time in the three-match ODI series, India captain Mithali Raj had invited England to bat first after a rain-delay reduced the match to 47 overs per side.
