Formula 1 Cars 2023 Reveal: When Will Alpine Release Their Car?

2022 was a big year for Alpine. They spent the majority of the season locked in a battle for P4 alongside McLaren, and to the delight of everyone at the Enstone-based squad, they came out on top.

One of Alpine’s biggest strengths in 2022 was the consistency shown by their drivers Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon. At times, reliability issues frustrated them but they still managed to overcome McLaren’s challenge. However, their battles with McLaren were not limited to the track.

When McLaren came swooping in for Alpine’s reserve driver Oscar Piastri, the two teams were engaged in a legal battle. Unfortunately for the French team, this went in favor of the papaya outfit.

Regardless, alpine will be looking to build on their impressive fourth place finish heading into the upcoming campaign, and they will be doing so with a new driver pairing of Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon.

When will Alpine release their 2023 Formula 1 car?

Alpine will be the last F1 team to reveal their car ahead of the 2023 season. Their launch event will come right after that of Ferrari and Mercedes’, who will reveal their challengers on the 14th and 15th of February respectively.

Alpine announced on social media that the A523 will be launched on 16th February in London. Both of their drivers Gasly and Ocon are expected to be a part of this launch event.

Pierre Gasly ready for new challenge in career

Gasly made his F1 debut back in 2017 with Toro Rosso, Red Bull’s sister team. Since then, he spent the entirety of his career with the Red Bull family, but struggled to break into the Milton-Keynes-based outfit. He was impressive with Toro Rosso (then AlphaTauri) but he had to move to a bigger team when it became clear that Red Bull were not going to promote him anymore.

When Alonso revealed that he would switch to Aston Martin in 2023 and Piastri decided to snub Alpine, Gasly did not let go of the chance to represent a team from his home country.

“I’m looking forward to visiting everyone at Viry and Enstone,” he said after the 2022 season concluded. “Debriefing on this test, before working towards our objectives alongside Esteban for the 2023 season.”

Alpine will be fielding an all-French line up of Ocon and Gasly from 2023 onwards, which has the entire F1 community excited.
