Italian legend Francesco Totti is enjoying his post-retirement life. The legendary Italian retired early this year after he hung up boots following the end of Roma’s season.

A one club man, Totti was widely considered as one of the best players of his generation as he became an icon for Roma. A world cup winner in 2006, Totti was one of the star performers in Italy’s golden generation.

Totti was recently asked about who he favours between Ronaldo and Messi in this year’s race for the Ballon d’Or. The Italian felt that Ronaldo had a slight edge this year and feels that the Portuguese will bag his fifth Ballon d’Or this year.

This is what Totti had to say,

“We are talking about two footballing aliens.

I think that, in the end, Ronaldo is ahead of the others. He had an amazing season and also accomplished all of his goals with the most prestigious of teams.”

In regards to Totti, Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino spoke about how he would want Harry Kane to emulate Totti by becoming a one-club man.

“Harry was so emotional when he saw the last game of Totti, who had only played at one club.

He was very emotional and what I say is that maybe Harry can have the same career as Totti. When he saw Totti’s farewell at Roma, that creates extra motivation.

I hope he stays with us for a long time because he has great quality. He enjoys Tottenham and he probably identifies with the club more because he is from the academy.”
