Frank Lampard: Derby grants an excuse to Lampard to decide his future with Chelsea amidst the start of Derby’s pre-season preparation.
Chelsea are yet to declare a new manager after Maurizio’s Sarri’s exit from the Stamford Bridge earlier. Frank Lampard is speculated to replace the Italian manager ahead of this season.
However, the Blues have not proceeded ahead with the signing of Lampard as the new Chelsea manager, but the the Former English International is expected to join his former club this summer.
Presently, Lampard is with Derby, and to have a clarity, according to a report by the Skysports, the Rams have decided to excuse Lampard for few more days to finish negotiations with Chelsea, so that the 41-year-old can be clear with his commitment.
On the other hand, Chelsea were expected to announce Lampard, before Sarri’s departure from the West-London club, but the negotiations between Lampard and Chelsea are getting stagnant now. Hence, compelling Derby to make this move, so that they can also look for replacements before the pre-season ends.
With, several reports of his early announcements, Chelsea have not managed to grasp his services. Although, considering Chelsea have very few options to replace Sarri, Lampard is the most suited replacement.
Whereas, there are other football experts and fans, who think that Lampard’s move to Chelsea right now is a pre-mature move in his managerial career with no significant experience at this role.
Thus, it is being reportedly advised to Lampard to not join Chelsea, in order to safeguard his career, as Chelsea are famous for its poor support to the managers.
Nevertheless, it seems Chelsea will soon declare their manager as Lampard soon, as they soon have to leave for their tour.

If Frank Lampard had any brains, he would stay at Derby and show them some loyalty. Not a time to be a chelsea manager yet, not with the transfer ban and their best player leaving. Gain some more experience first or you will be sacked by Xmas. Not something you want on your CV.

Lampard will have spoken to Chelsea before Derby gave the ok, maybe they are having second thoughts or not wanting Frank's staff ?, all very messy and media have a lot to do with it.
