Last night, Germany faced Netherlands in the Euro 2020 qualifiers and the game ended in an exciting contest as the scoreline is enough to claim it, with Netherlands winning the game by 4-2.

Amidst all of it, Frenkie De Jong was a big highlight in the game, as the Dutch International had a spectacular performance against the Germans to lead his side to victory.

Seeking revenge for their 3-2 defeat to Joachim Low’s side in March, Netherlands came out on top in a thrilling encounter in Hamburg.

Late goals from Donyell Malen and Georginio Wijnaldum gave Netherlands three points in their group as the apex European competition for countries is heading near.

De Jong had a memorable game, as he was very influential in his side winning the game. Even though, the Dutch superstar gave in a penalty to let Toni Kroos make it 2-2 in the 73rd minute, but he also helped his side to make it 1-1 by scoring in the first half to level terms.

De Jong produced a fine performance in midfield, finishing with a pass completion rate of 93%. He won possession 11 times, had two interceptions, completed two key passes and also had two successful dribbles.

The Barcelona superstar is riding high in his career, as he recently played the final against Portugal in the UEFA Nation’s league and also made an expensive move to Barcelona.

Moreover, the 22-year-old superstar also won the UEFA midfielder of the year award after his outstanding performances for Ajax and Netherlands.

Although, De Jong is yet to make a deep impact in Barcelona, and many believe that it is because of manager Ernesto Valverde’s poor utilization of De Jong. Nevertheless, the player is deemed to gain success in his career.
