Destiny 2 Hotfix 7.0.5.3 out now: All fixes listed

Destiny 2 was briefly taken offline yesterday to roll out hotfix 7.0.5.3. The latest update re-enabled Destiny 2 Vendors, Item Perks and Mods, and Subclass options for players. However, the rollout wasn’t exactly smooth, causing issues for multiple players afterward. Addressing this, Bungie took to Twitter to announce another shutdown of the servers for emergency maintenance. While the game is back, issues still persist for many. While players wait for another patch, here’s what the latest hotfix brings.

Destiny 2 Hotfix 7.0.5.3 patch notes

ACTIVITIES

NIGHTFALL

  • Reverted the change that removed the third Refraction Core in Heist Battlegrounds.
  • Fixed an issue where previously defeated enemies and Champions are respawning if players wipe in the Lake of Shadows boss room.

GUARDIAN GAMES

  • Fixed an issue where the normal matchmaking options for Supremacy were missing their descriptions.
  • Fixed an issue where the Heir Apparent quest and catalyst are not progressing via most main Medallion sources.
  • Fixed an issue where the Fly the Flag bounty is taking much longer than intended to complete.
  • Fixed an issue where the Champ Seal was not able to be gilded.

GAMEPLAY AND INVESTMENT

WEAPONS

  • Fixed an issue where swapping from a Slug Shotgun to another Shotgun could allow massive damage output.
    • There is now a two-second window where a weapon cannot be fired after swapping to it from the inventory screen.
  • Fixed an issue where the Enhanced Eager Edge perk would deactivate earlier than intended.

The developers are monitoring the situation regarding crashes and stability. In the meantime, Destiny 2 integration features on Bungie.net, including the API, will remain offline overnight. Destiny 2 features will also be disabled on web, mobile, and third-party apps. Players can expect another patch this week to fix these issues.
