The FIFA series is ending soon, but fans should not worry. The legendary legacy of this series will be continued by its successor EA Sports FC. Some major leaks concerning the game’s release date have recently surfaced.
EA Sports’ most iconic video game series has to be FIFA. But the American developers’ long-time deal with the International Federation of Association Football expired after the release of FIFA 23. It created a panic among fans about whether they could play a new FIFA game again someday.
But the developers didn’t let the hopes die. They instead got licenses from various soccer leagues and clubs to continue the series. However, not having the FIFA license led Electronic Arts to rebrand the series to EA Sports FC. The wait for the first installment of this new soccer game series might soon be over.
EA Sports FC release dates leaked
A famous video game leaker, bilbil-kun, recently revealed the highly-anticipated EA Sports FC would release on September 29, 2023. This release date might not be surprising, as Electronic Arts always released FIFA games around this time. Even FIFA 23 came out on September 27, 2022.
The developers always prefer to release the game with an updated squad list. It is only possible after the real-world soccer Transfer Market closes on August 31 and the season begins in full swing. So, they will continue this trend even with the upcoming EA Sports FC.
Some fans can enjoy this upcoming game before its rumored release date. Those with the game’s Ultimate Edition would get early access like every past FIFA title. The early access would be from September 22, 2023. So this time, EA could offer access a week early compared to the three-day early access for FIFA 23.

The leaks have also revealed that a data miner discovered a closed beta of an upcoming game for Xbox Series X/S and One consoles. Moreover, the size of this beta is around 41.57 GB and 39.23 GB. These are pretty similar to the size of FIFA 23. So this closed beta may be for only EA Sports FC, which could be available from mid-August.
Although this comes from a reliable source with a record of leaking correct release dates, fans should still take this with a grain of salt. After all, leaks can often turn out to be wrong. So fans should wait for the official announcement from the developers. Meanwhile, fans can find out all the confirmed leagues in EA Sports FC by visiting here.
