Electronic Arts entered the post-FIFA era by raising the curtains over the much-awaited EA Sports FC 24. So here is everything that the American game developers announced in their official reveal livestream.

After losing the Fédération Internationale de football association license, Electronic Arts can no longer continue their fan-favorite FIFA series. So FIFA 23 is the last installment in this iconic franchise. But here was a way to continue the iconic legacy of this soccer game franchise by renaming it to EA Sports FC.

Fans have been eagerly waiting for Electric Arts to make an official announcement about the EAFC 24. The developers finally heard their audience on July 13, when they hosted the official reveal for the EA Sports FC 24 in Amsterdam, live-streamed on YouTube.

EA got some big licenses

After EA lost its iconic FIFA license, fans were concerned about the series’ future. But there was nothing to worry about as they signed contracts with numerous leagues and teams. Over 30 soccer leagues will feature in the forthcoming EAFC 24, including major ones such as La Liga, Premier League, Bundesliga, and Serie A.

EA has also signed an exclusive contract with the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), giving them access to both men’s and women’s Champions League. They also have access to other significant tournaments under UEFA: Europa League and Conference League. The rights also got them access to over 19,000 professional soccer players and over 100 stadiums.

The trinity formula of creating EA Sports FC 24

The American game developers claimed to focus on their trinity formula to develop this upcoming EA Sports FC 24. This trinity formula is the three advanced technology used to create this: Hypermotion V, Frostbite, and Play Styles.

Hypermotion V

EA first introduced its Hypermotion technology in FIFA 22. Then in the following FIFA 23, they used the upgraded version called Hypermotion 2.0. Still, because of the significant revamp of the series, they used the most advanced version of this technology called Hypermotion V to develop EAFC 24.

Hypermotion V uses volumetric capture from over 180 matches to create the most precise 590 million frames of animations for the game. EA claimed that recreating the animations for EAFC 24 from a player’s action in a match would take only a few days. It would help them develop the most realistic soccer game in their history.

Frostbite

Unsurprisingly, Electronic Arts developed EAFC 24 using their game engine, Frostbite. The American developers used an “overhauled” version of the engine to create this upcoming soccer video game. They claimed this game engine used their new SAPIEN technology. It is the same thing that they used to develop Madden NFL 24.

With the new Frostbite engine, they got ten times more precise body form and the minute details of a player’s appearance. Further, the GPU cloth will better respond to the player’s body movement in the game. It also helped to bring a brand new experience by introducing dynamic match intros, menus, and new cutscenes that were not there in the previous FIFA games.

Play Styles

The final jewel in this trinity is the Play Styles technology. EA Sports FC 24 would be the first game in which it would be used. They collaborated with Opta Sports, a British sports analytics company, to get the data of the soccer stars featured in the game. So it helped them create the playing style of those stars in the game.

Women’s soccer is there in EA Sports FC 24

Electronic Arts tried introducing women’s soccer in video games with the last couple of FIFA titles. But the best representation of women’s football in a game would be the upcoming EAFC 24. EA announced, along with the UWCL, will feature Liga F and Frauen-Bundesliga, representing the highest level of women’s club soccer.

As if there wasn’t enough female representation in the game, female soccer players will also feature alongside male superstars in the Ultimate Team mode. Fans would have access to the largest pool of players in EA’s history, thanks to the addition of female players.

Ultimate Team got an evolution

The developers claimed EAFC 24 Ultimate Team features the evolution technology. It will allow fans to upgrade players throughout the season based on their gameplay, as it will help them build the most uniqueness. It is no secret that fans would have more freedom than ever because of the new trait system.

When is EA Sports FC releasing?

The fans were most eager to know when EA Sports FC 24 will be available on the shelves. At the end of the latest reveal live stream, the American developers revealed it will release on September 29 across the globe in various genres.

But the developers have also presented an opportunity to play it before the official worldwide release date. Fans will get early access to the game on July 22 by pre-ordering or buying the Ultimate Edition of this new soccer video game.

That’s all fans need to know about the upcoming EA Sports FC 24. If it was interesting to read, find out about Electronic Arts spending over $10 million for the development of soccer by clicking here.
