FIFA 23’s successor will be the first soccer game by Electronic Arts tonot carry the FIFA brand because of their deal expiring with the International Federation of Association Football. However, the upcoming EA Sports FC might forge itself a new identity while retaining multiple features from FIFA games, including the much-played Ultimate Team mode.
The latest rumors suggest new features like traits will be added to EA Sports FC’s Ultimate Team, making it even better than FIFA 23’s UT.

Traits have been a major of FUT, as they helped players to create squads in this mode. However, the rumored new trait system will make the process of building a squad in Ultimate Team even more exciting
Team Captain
Like in real-life football, FIFA also let fans choose a player to lead their Ultimate Team squad. However, it didn’t contribute to any gameplay element of the game so far. In EA Sports FC, if a player with the ‘Team Captain’ trait is assigned the role, they give low chemistry players a +1 rating on the stat.
League Star
Until Electronic Arts published a special version of a player card, the overall rating of that card remained unchanged in past FIFA games. This time around, all players from the same league in a squad will receive a boost in EA Sports FC. Now, fans will have another reason other than chemistry to create a squad full of players from the same league.
Lone Wolf
Contrary to the last trait is the ‘Lone Wolf.’ These players who don’t have any other teammates from their nation or league will receive boosts. Having such a boosted ‘Lone Wolf’ player as the captain would definetly play a huge role in the upcoming soccer game.
Super Sub
In EA Sports FC, even substitute players with this test who have no chemistry with the team will have full chemistry upon taking the pitch.
Team Spiriting
The Team Spiriting trait helps players revitalize their squad when needed most. This will make for interesting substitution strategies as players can keep their star players on for longer.
Flexible Positioning
FIFA 23 was very strict with a player’s positioning. Fans would have to first change the player before using them at another position. Further, the player could only be changed to its registered secondary positioning. However, Electronic Arts are going to be very flexible with the positioning system in the upcoming game. Those who possess this trait can be changed to any position.
Fans should take these rumors with a grain of salt until the developers officially confirm them. However, initial impressions show that these changes would definetly unlock new ways of playing Ultimate Team.
