The Team of the Season campaign continues to be a fun campaign for fans in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team. So EA Sports made things even more entertaining by introducing a new Squad Building Challenge, the Lucas Paqueta Showdown SBC.
Despite standing 14th in the Premier League, West Ham United is doing well in the UECL, reaching the finale. Further, Paqueta was instrumental in this incredible run in this European competition. To honor West Ham and the Brazilian midfielder for this exceptional performance, EA Sports released the Lucas Paqueta Showdown card in FIFA 23.
The Showdown series is a unique FUT card series that features players with significant boosts who are soon set to play against each other in a real-life match. Furthermore, the matchup’s winner gets an additional +2, while a draw results in a +1 boost for both sides. The most recent addition to this limited edition FUT card series is the Brazilian Paqueta.
About the FIFA 23 Lucas Paqueta Showdown
The West Ham United midfielder’s base FUT card is an 82-rated Rare Gold one. After becoming part of the Showdown series, Electronic Arts significantly bumped up his standard stats. This special FUT card is 90-rated and has the following new stats:
- Pace – 85
- Shooting – 88
- Passing – 90
- Dribbling – 93
- Defending – 82
- Physicality – 88
Paqueta Showdown’s default position in Ultimate Team is Central Attacking Midfielder (CAM). However, fans can change the position to Central Midfielder (CM) or Center Forward (CF). This card also has a 4-Star Weak Foot and 5-Star Skills, making it an excellent choice to have in the starting lineup.
NOTE: If West Ham United wins UECL, all stats on this Lucas Paqueta’s Showdown card will receive a +2 boost.
How to complete this new FIFA 23 Showdown SBC?
EA Sports didn’t want to complex this Squad Building Challenge for fans. Hence, it is only split into two parts that fans must complete to get their hands on the limited-edition FUT card. These tasks would require them to create three starting XI while following certain limitations.
FIFA 23 Lucas Paqueta Showdown SBC is separated into the following two parts:
Brazil
- A Brazilian player should be in the starting lineup.
- This squad should have two players ranked higher than 87.
- The overall team rating must be more than 86.
Premier League
- The team should include a Premier League player.
- A Team of the Week (TOTW) or Team of the Season (TOTS) should be part of the lineup.
- The total rating for this lineup will be 88.
Fans will need at least 206,000 FUT coins to complete the Lucas Paqueta Showdown SBC if they just rely on the Transfer Market. But using cards from their collection would lower the budget for completing this SBC. If they are low on coins and cards, participate in the FUT matches to get more.
