Follow-up on updates is well-maintained by Riot Games as Valorant receives yet another sub-patch for Valorant. There are very minimal changes but some can excite you.
The Valorant 7.03 patch update comes with some augmentations of the already improved changes in the last patch. But there was a general change that was done keeping the future in mind. This time however there are no Agent or interaction changes in this sub-patch. There are some considerable bug fixes that were urgently required that took place.
Some much-needed store updates are there. These are merely introduced for the quality-of-life improvement of the players. And that goes to show how important players’ experience is valued back at Riot Games.
Valorant 7.03 patch update brings system maintenance to secure the future
Albeit an uncalled-for update, Riot chose to mention this as part of the 7.02 patch notes. They restructured the rendering system of Valorant so that it does not prove to be a point of challenge some years down the line. And thus maintaining the user interface and experience smoothly for the players.
This also allows for future integrations like this year’s Esports Hub for the Valorant Champions 2023 in the game. Riot might look for much more ambitious integrations in the future. And restructuring the rendering system will help that.
Player behavior updates
- Riot added party text mutes for people who have received team text mutes.
- They also added formatting changes to the behavioral warning messaging system in order to improve visibility and readability.
Store updates
- End-of-game unlock and favoriting changes: After purchasing or unlocking Battlepass or event pass items at the end of a game, you will now have the ability to immediately Favorite your newly purchased/unlocked weapon or accessory item (titles not included) on the confirmation screen.
- Navigation to Sprays Collection: After purchasing or unlocking a Battlepass or event pass Spray at the end of a game, you will now be able to directly navigate to that newly acquired Spray in the Collections tab from the confirmation screen.
Bug fixes
- Fixed a bug where a white line appeared on Player Portraits when an Ultimate was used.
- Fixed an issue where a shield’s number value appears red in the shop upon damage and then when buying it back again.
- Fixed a font issue where Greek Tonos was not rendering for Account Names.
- Fixed a bug where VOIP Ducks Flavor VO (a setting that, when turned on, makes in-game sounds slightly lower in order to prioritize party/team comms) was not functioning as intended.
- Fixed a bug in the Esports Hub that was causing the Schedule to show incorrect Time/Days due to UTC time conversion.
Apart from these changes, no significant ones were introduced in the Valorant 7.03 patch update. The next update will be a big one to introduce Episode 7 Act 2. But that is still about a couple of weeks’ wait. Until then, feel free to look out for everything else on Valorant by clicking here.
