Riot Games announced the official release date for Valorant‘s arrival in China, along with some region-exclusive additions. Riot Games has been looking to expand in the region for a long time now, and after thorough Beta testing, the game will finally release in the country. Here are all the Valorant China release details.
Valorant launched three years ago, but due to restrictions by the Chinese administration, the game’s release in the country was delayed.
During an event in Shanghai, the Riot Games team announced the culmination of Valorant’s closed Beta phase and the game’s release date.

What is Valorant China’s release date?
The closed Beta testing for Valorant started on May 2, 2023. Riots Games, in the Shanghai event announced that players’ wait will be over soon. Valorant’s release date for China is July 12, 2023.
Chinese players can play the game on their server and might get declared a region for competitive matches.
China-exclusive in-game recording system

With the game’s launch in China, the players will also get an in-game recording system. This will allow players to record their gameplay for analysis and remember their unique clutches.
Interestingly, players from various regions have been asking for something similar for a very long time, but China has become the first one to get it. It might roll out for other regions as the game ages.
China’s partition in offline events
With the game officially released in China, their participation in the VCT will now become official. Until now, they had a country-specific invite, but players can now expect to enter the competition as a region. Whalen “Magus” Rozelle, COO at Riot Games, said:
“This is not official, but 2024 is when we hope to welcome China to the VCT.”
China’s official league to enter the VCT circuit will likely be announced at the Tencent Global Esports Summit 2023, which will take place on July 14-15.
China’s representation was seen in Valorant competitive in the form of EDward Gaming, who played in Valorant Tokyo Masters, and VCT// LOCK IN before that, competing with the best of the best in the world.
Bundles, skins, and more
Chinese players will begin their Valorant journey with 16 Agents and four maps. However, they will be able to play the newly introduced Team Deathmatch.
Players will also get to see all the 36 bundles that were a part of the game. This would also include limited-time access to some of the rarest skins in the game, like the Champions 2021 and 2022 bundle. These 36 skin sets would be given away to five Chinese players randomly in the game.
In addition to that, the players will also get a region-exclusive Tai Chi Fan melee.
