FIFA 23 is the last soccer video game by Electronic Arts under the title of FIFA, as their deal with the International Federation of Association Football has ended. However, the American company will continue making soccer games under the new banner of EA Sports FC. Despite the new name, it would remain the same game that fans are familiar with. It is also likely that the Ultimate Team mode returns.

Electronic Arts first introduced this classic mode back in 2008 with the release of FIFA 09. This mode evolved with each installment and ended up becoming the most popular mode of the game. So fans can expect the developers to introduce new features in the EA Sports FC. Recently, there have been rumors that this upcoming soccer game will feature female player cards.

Will female cards be successful in EA Sports FC?

The latest rumors hint that EA will support women’s football even more by introducing female player cards in the upcoming title. Having female player cards would mean that FIFA fans will have access to an even broader selection of new cards to help them construct a fantastic squad. After all, female elite players like Sam Kerr and Alexia Putellas would definitely get some high-rated cards, which will help fans create even better Ultimate Team squads. Further, female builds have always been preferred in Pro Clubs over male ones. There are chances that fans might end up preferring female players on the squad over male soccer stars.

Electronic Arts has been focusing heavily on women’s soccer in the last few FIFA installments. They featured many women’s international teams, including players like Alexia Putellas, Alex Morgan, and Lieke Martens. However, FIFA 23 didn’t feature the women’s international teams. Instead, it featured renowned women’s soccer clubs. Additionally, Chelsea Women FC’s Sam Kerr appeared on the game cover for FIFA 23. The developers already added the Pro Clubs and Volta mode that allowed fans to use female and male players on the same team.

Fans should take this rumor about EA Sports FC’s Ultimate Team mode featuring female cards with a grain of salt. Fans should wait for an official announcement from Electronic Arts regarding this feature.
