Gareth Bale filmed practicing his golf swing during Real Madrid training. His obsession with golf has caused quite a saga in Spain already.
Gareth Bale likes golf. Let’s rephrase that. Gareth Bale loves golf to the extent that he is willing to face the wrath of Real Madrid fans. In the summer, Bale claimed to be sick and opted out of their pre-season tour match but was later found to be playing golf instead.

What started as a joke however, soon blew up into a saga of its own when Bale was seen celebrating Wales’ Euro 2020 qualifications with a flag that read ‘Wales, Golf, Madrid. In that order’. The winger was criticised by several papers in Spain and was heavily scrutinised by the media.
Bale though, showed little care for the boos and chants and was seen laughing instead during the match against Real Sociedad.

Zinedine Zidane had openly spoken on his desire to see Gareth Bale leave in the summer. However, he has since decided not to allow their differences to cast a shadow on Real Madrid’s season. He even went on to ask the fans not to boo Bale after their match vs Sociedad.
“I hope this doesn’t carry on for the rest of the season,” Zidane said in quotes reported by Marca. “We want the fans to be with us from the beginning to the end, but we cannot control that,” the Real Madrid coach said.
“The public has the right to do what they want, but I ask that they applaud everyone. I’m happy with the game and the victory and Bale came into the game well.
“What you have to do is keep working on the pitch.”
Zidane added: “I have not spoken to him (about the jeers), I have only congratulated him.
“I can’t tell you if it’s unfair or not. Everyone can say what they want. We need our fans, then we can’t control what happens.
“There is too much noise with Bale, he wants to be with us and do it well. That is why we don’t want to talk so much.
“He is integrated into the group and wants to play, just like everyone else.”
