Gareth Bale: Welsh Winger found smiling during Real Madrid’s 7-3 loss to Atletico Madrid

Gareth Bale: Welsh Winger found smiling during Real Madrid’s 7-3 loss to Atletico Madrid in their pre-season friendly.

The summer hasn’t really gone Gareth Bale’s way. However, that didn’t stop him from smiling and laughing during Real Madrid’s humiliating defeat to neighbours Atletico Madrid. The Spanish Giants found themselves crashing 7-3 despite spending close to 300 million in the ongoing transfer season.

Star striker Diego Costa found the net 4 times while Joao Felix, Vitolo and Angel Correa scored the other 3. At one point of time Real Madrid found themselves 6 goals behind. However, they pulled in 3 goals to end the match at a somewhat respectable scoreline of 7-3.

Bale can’t stop smiling

Zinedine Zidane seemed flustered at the thrashing he received at the hands of Atletico. However, Bale seemed to not be fazed at all. Cameras caught the Welsh star smiling and laughing during various moments in the match.

Bale was substituted into the match with less than half an hour left in to the match. He was spotted smirking just before he was subbed in. Many fans seem to be enjoying the blatant show of defiance against a manager, he does not see eye to eye with.

There were also some who felt that the claim was far-fetched and sensationalized by many.

Gareth Bale is reportedly on the verge of signing with Chinese Super League team Jiangsu Suning on a €22 million-a-year contract.  The Telegraph have reported that the 30-year old is to collect over £1 million-a-week after tax if the deal is concluded as expected.

Gareth Bale has plied his trade in the Spanish capital for the last 6 years. In this time period, the Welsh winger has scored 102 goals and won 13 trophies and Champions League to his name.
