Despite being cornered by all infamous critics for quite a while at one side, MS Dhoni has fairly been receiving tremendous support from the Indian greats at the other side.

Gautam Gambhir is the latest to voice his opinion and lend his support to MS Dhoni. He urged people to give credit for what he has done so far for the Indian cricket team.
At the same time, he questioned people’s loyalty to Dhoni. He added that MSD has achieved many things that not many people have been able to do that.
Many can handle the peaks of success but MS Dhoni handled even the toughest of times according to Gambhir. Being calm even under pressure is one of MS Dhoni’s trait.
Gambhir added that even when India were given all the beating in unfamiliar territories like Australia and England, MSD was calm as a cucumber.
“You need to give credit where it’s due. People have criticized his captaincy. What he has done for Indian cricket, not a lot of people have done that, especially the way he handled the lows. It is very easy to handle the highs.
But the way he has handled the lows has been remarkable. Especially in Australia and England (2011-12) where we were hammered (4-0) and still being as calm as he was, not showing too many emotions, I think a lot of credit needs to go to MS,” Gautam Gambhir said to Kolkata Knight Rider’s weekly TV show Knight Club.
Gambhir said that he enjoyed a lot playing under MS Dhoni. “I have played under Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, Virender Sehwag and MS Dhoni.
I felt, I enjoyed a lot under MS. We had great fun; we are around the same age as well. He was pretty chilled out. He kept things very simple which was very good,” Gambhir said.
