Genshin Impact 3.8 is all set to release on July 5, and as the release draws closer, players must be wondering about the maintenance schedule and server downtime. The following article covers the details for all the major regions. 

Genshin Impact recently had its Special Program for version 3.8. The update, officially called the “Secret Summer Paradise,” will introduce a limited-period map and several exciting events. It can be expected to arrive on July 5. 

The game will undergo a brief maintenance period before the update hits the servers. During the maintenance period, the servers will be down and inaccessible. Let’s check the maintenance schedule for Genshin Impact 3.8 for different regions to stay prepared for the same.

Genshin Impact 3.8 Maintenance Schedule for all regions

The maintenance schedule for all servers will be at the same time. The Genshin Impact maintenance period lasts for 5 hours before the update release at 11:00:00 (UTC+8), so at 6:00:00 (UTC+8). The servers will be down and can’t be accessed during this period. So it is advised that players plan their dailies and resin farming accordingly.

The maintenance timings have been converted to some of the most popular timezones for ease of understanding: 

  • Hawaii-Aleutian Standard Time: July 4, 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm
  • Alaska Standard Time: July 4, 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm Pacific Standard Time: July 4, 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm
  • Mountain Standard Time: July 4, 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm
  • Central Standard Time: July 4, 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm
  • Eastern Standard Time: July 4, 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Maintenance Rewards

HoYoverse rewards the players handsomely for their patience during the maintenance period. Players will be compensated with 600 Primogems, 60 for each server downtime hour, and an extra 300 for bugs. After maintenance, these rewards are sent out through the in-game mailing system. 

Only Adventure Level 5 or above players are eligible for these rewards; Travelers are advised to claim these rewards promptly as they will expire after 30 days. 

Genshin Impact 3.8 pre-installation

The pre-installation feature for v3.8 should be available in the game around two days before the update release, around July 3. Players can pre-install the update to log in when the update releases swiftly.

There are two methods of pre-installing the game. The first method is from the login screen, where players can notice a small pre-installation button in the lower left corner of the screen. Additionally, the second method involves logging into the game and going to the Settings menu. The pre-installation feature is available in the Resources option.
