That is the total series score in the favor of the Warriors by the 1 point. That is how close this has been, that one missed would call, one missed box out and one shot falling could’ve changed this series to a 4-0 in either teams favor. But it is what it is and right now the series is balanced on a knife’s edge at 2-2.

The advantage should be with the Warriors with 2 out of the 3 remaining games being at the Oracle arena. But if you believe in momentum, and I sure do, then Houston has all of it right now after coming back from 2-0 down to climb back to parity at 2-2. Rule out either team at your own peril.

The game 5 might be the last ever game to be played at the Oracle arena. If the Warriors lose game 5 at Oracle and then Houston wraps up the series at home in game 6, Warriors season and dynasty ends, and so do their playing days in Bay Area, Oakland as they move to their new home in downtown San Francisco starting next season. That gives them an impetus to do better and make this season last as long as possible and end the era on a high with a 3rd straight title and 4 in 5 years.

The Rockets have a 34 year old CP3 and 34 year old PJ Tucker playing heavy minutes and they have no cap space to significantly improve their roster in the off season. This is their championship window and after deciding not to wait out the Warriors dynasty and gun for them right away, this has to be a now or never for them right now. They have done well to win 2 games at home, but in a series of such small margins, a home advantage will matter when it comes to things like soft calls and crowd disruptions.

The Warriors don’t have the best record at home this post season losing twice to the Clippers at Oracle, and they cant afford any such slip up against the Rockets in game 5 and the possible game 7 if it comes to that.

Durant and Harden are balling like hardly anyone has before. Klay Thompson has been shooting like he is suddenly Shaq from the 3 point range. Curry is being bothered by his dislocated finger but found his touch inside being more aggressive in game 4. Eric Gordon has been on fire on offense and looks much more than just a volume scorer at this point. PJ Tucker and Draymond Green are playing small ball centers and doing a brilliant job of it. Green is doing it all for the Warriors, but Tucker by rebounding and defending like a hound, has been the difference between a sweep and a tie in this series for the Rockets.

CP3 and Klay need to step up their game and depending on which one of them does on Thursday, will decide whether Houston or Golden State find themselves in the prime position to take the series and maybe the NBA Championship thereafter.
