Rickie Fowler has garnered plenty of love and attention from his fans due to his jovial nature. But on Saturday at TPC Sawgrass, his behavior towards a fan wasn’t so welcoming. Enraged Fowler yelled at a fan, saying “you!” after hitting his shot on hole 16 during the third round of the Players Championship. But why did a cool-minded player Fowler react like that?
Here’s video of incident at the 16th tee box. Romano told the same guy moments before to put his phone on silent multiple times.. he didn’t. Rickie was not a fan of him. pic.twitter.com/Vovx1RlM3X

As the matter was dug deeper, it was found that the fan didn’t keep his phone on silent and that bothered Rickie’ s gameplay. Although the arrogant fan was once asked by Fowler’s caddie to have his phone silenced, the fan didn’t listen and that got the player infuriated amid his game. As the video of the incident went viral, the golf community wrote their views on it!
Fans React As Rickie Fowler’s Enraged Video Goes Viral On Social Media
As the video came to the attention of fans, they wrote their remarks on it.
A follower of Rickie stated that the fan on-course didn’t do anything and still Fowler shouted at him.
I didn’t hear anything from the fan. Just Ricky yelling “you”. Could someone please fill me in on what the fan did because as I see it now he did nothing. Sorry Ricky.

Then, another fan took a jab at Fowler and mocked him for his behavior.
Yea that’s why you’re not winning.A phone.

While some fans took offense about Fowler’s behavior, one fan defended the golfer and demanded that the man bothering Rickie be thrown out of the course.
This is so wrong. The guy that distracted Ricky should have been removed from the grounds all together. ‼️

Again, another golf enthusiast wrote that the fan’s behavior was arrogant after being asked to have his phone silenced.
Anyone would react the same way, especially after he’d already been told to put it on silent.

A cybercitizen defended Fowler and claimed that the fan’s behavior was outrageous and had broken the rule.
Kick the guy off the course immediately. I think that they are adequately warned about this before they come on the course. If you can anger a nice guy like Rickie, you clearly broke the rule.

Although the scuffle took place, Fowler managed to drive 285 yards down the middle. But his second shot landed into a water hazard and made a double-bogey to land his score at 76. On Sunday, the final round of the tournament is taking place and Fowler sits at T71 as of now. Thus, it is to see how far he can take his game during the showdown.
