Griezmann transfer news: Atletico Madrid star to earn €4 million less at Barcelona

Griezmann transfer news: Atletico Madrid star to earn €4 million less at Barcelona as Antoine Griezmann is set to play for the Catalan club.

Antoine Griezmann released a video last night of him announcing his departure from Atletico Madrid after the end of the season.
Thus, it has heated the speculations of French international joining Barcelona this summer.

The Catalan club are expected to trigger his release clause of £105 million to hire his services from Los Rojniblancos.

Additionally, it is being reported that Griezmann will earn €17-million per year after joining Barcelona.

Seems like a huge amount, but the World Cup winning player will have to settle with €4-million less wages than his previous €21 million per year wages at Atletico Madid.

The Blaugranas were on the verge of signing the 28-year-old forward last summer, but he declined to join them after releasing a documentary declaring his decision to stay.

Surprisingly, a year later Barcelona are again favourites to sign the player. It seems that the lack of silverware at Atletico Madrid has propelled him to look at the brighter prospects.

Presently, Barcelona are one of the rarest clubs that can provide highest prizes at the club level. However, other giant clubs like Liverpool, PSG and Manchester United are also showing their results in the player.

Further it is reported that Griezmann can again snub Barcelona if a more lucrative offer is provided to the player from somewhere else and comparitively low wages can be a reason for it.

Although, further details of his future are yet to be provided by Griezmann, except his departure announcement.
