Hamilton had asked all Mercedes team mates to send him an email
Lewis Hamilton is gunning to be the greatest F1 driver of all time and with 5 titles to his name, he now realistically has a chance of matching and even surpassing Schumacher’s tally of 7 world titles.
And while Hamilton was on the top of his game all season, and has been for the past few years, Lewis is still in search for perfection.
In order to keep improving, Hamilton had asked for a little help from all his teammates, asking them to send him anonymous emails so as to help Hamilton improve on things that were maybe neglected this season.
“I asked my team to send me an email from several different departments, asked them to be blunt,” Hamilton said
“They don’t even need to tell me who the email’s from, just tell me the things [they] think I can improve on.
“If there’s been a certain experience this year you felt that could be better or something I’ve said that’s swayed the energy within the team.
“Because I’m looking to be the all-time great and that means winning in all areas.” he added.
Hamilton has admitted to the fact that he still has a lot left in tank and that the best is yet to come. Lewis conceded that his aim for the next two years at least is top stop Ferrari and Red Bull from winning the championship.
“I feel like I’m still not at my best,” the Brit said
“I’m just on the way there, I’ve still got lots of work to do.
“We’ve just signed for another two years so ’19 and ’20 are going to be interesting.
“My goal is to make sure Ferrari don’t win a Championship within those two years – or Red Bull.” he added.
Do you think Lewis can move up a gear next season?
