Heung Min Son Red Card: Tottenham superstar picks red card for violent conduct against Chelsea

Heung Min Son Red Card: Tottenham superstar picks a red card for the violent conduct against Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger.

After the match, Tottenham Hotspur would be having a night to forget as they have lost the Premier League tie against their arch city rivals Chelsea at their own den.

All things went further downhill after Heung Min Son picked a red card after making violent conduct against Antonio Rüdiger. The Korean International was brought down by Chelsea defender and in frustration, Son attacked him while raising his boots.

The Chelsea defender fell on the pitch and was in clear pain caused by the cleats of Son’s boots. On the other hand, Son pleaded to be guilty but the referee Anthony Taylor referred to VAR.

The newly introduced technology found the 27-year-old player guilty of deliberately hurting the German defender. Thus, Taylor had to make Son leave the pitch by showing the red card on the basis of a breach in violent conduct.

The North London club conceded two goals in the first half of the game and never recovered the deficit. They got lucky that they were not 2 men own in the match, as Tottenham’s goalkeeper was spared when he landed his karate kick on Marcos Alonso.

This was supposed to be a special match for Jose Mourinho, who was facing Chelsea for the first time while being in charge of another London based club.

However, his former disciple Frank Lampard turned out to be better today and made the Portuguese manager suffer. Even his other former player Willian was brilliant tonight and scored a brace to make the Blues win.

Chelsea’s fight for top-4 has been given a new life with this win, as Tottenham was heading closer to them in the table amidst a poor run of form, but this win has surely turned the table.
