Talent: Resurgence

Resurgence is a powerful ability that activates when Seele defeats an enemy in Honkai Star Rail. Upon triggering Resurgence, Seele enters a buffed state and gains an additional turn to continue her attack. During this buffed state, Seele’s attacks receive a 40% damage increase for one turn.

It’s important to note that enemies defeated during the extra turn granted by Resurgence will not trigger another Resurgence. This means that Seele can’t continue her attacks and potentially eliminate more foes beyond the initial activation. However, Resurgence can be triggered again when Seele’s turn to fight comes again during a battle.

This ability makes Seele a great character to fight again multiple enemies, although she follows the path of the Hunt, which is popular for being strong against single-target enemies.

Relics and Ornaments

Relics are similar to Artifacts in Genshin Impact, and they help boost the damage of the characters. In the early game, focusing on ATK% and Break Effect% can be beneficial to give her a damage boost in battles. However, stats like CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG become essential as you move forward. Thus, you can start adding good stats and aim for Quantum DMG too as you unlock Planar Ornaments.

Some of the best sets of Relics that can be suitable for Seele, keeping in mind the required Stats are:

  • 4-piece Genius of Brilliant Stars: Quantum DMG + Enemy resistance shred
  • 2-piece Genius of Brilliant Stars + 2-piece Musketeer of Wild Wheat: Quantum DMG + ATK% buff
  • 4-piece Musketeer of Wild Wheat: ATK% buff + SPD boost

Additionally, Planar Ornaments which unlock at Trailblaze level 24 can be used in a set of two. The best options are:

  • Space Sealing Station: ATK% boost
  • Talia: Kingdom of Banditry: Break Effect boost

Furthermore, players can target different stats if they are running Seele in Simulated Universe, depending on buffs of the path followed.

Light Cones

Several good Light Cone options for Seele exist in the game, both five-star and four-star.

  • In the Night: BiS five-star Light Cone for Seele. Buffs CRIT Rate, Basic ATK and Skill damage, and Ultimate CRIT DMG
  • Sleep Like the Dead: CRIT DMG buff with occasional CRIT Rate boost.
  • Cruising in the Stellar Sea: Five-star F2P option available through Herta’s Store. CRIT Rate passive.
  • Subscribe for More!: Four-star that boosts Basic Attack and Skill damage.
  • Only Silence Remains: Four-star with ATK and occasional CRIT Rate.
  • Arrows: Three-star option for the early game that gives CRIT Rate buff for three turns. Can be refined easily.

Team recommendations

Honkai Star Rail teams revolve around character synergies which are very helpful in battle. Since different enemies have different Elemental weaknesses, it is also crucial to consider that while setting up your team. However, some basic teams that are a great fit for Seele are as follows:

  • Seele + Bronya + Tingyun + Natasha
  • Seele + Bronya + Pela + Bailu

Bronya is easily the best character to go with Seele as she brings up her turn to fight and helps her defeat enemies with constant Resurgence. Characters like Tingyun, Pela, Welt, and Asta can provide buffs or shred enemy abilities, while a healer like Bailu or Natasha can be handy.

Every Upgrade Material needed to level up Seele

Seele can be ascended to higher character levels using resources that can be collected in the game from various quests or enemies. The list of materials are:

  • x65 Void Cast Iron: Obtained by defeating Trampler of the Antimatter Legion

Her Traces can be upgraded by using Trace materials. The total cost of maxing out her Traces in Honkai Star Rail includes:

Some players might be interested in maxing out Seele’s Eidolons, which work essentially like Constellations in Genshin Impact. Let’s take a look at the abilities enhanced by her Eidolons.

  • E1: 15% CRIT Rate buff against enemies with lower than 80% HP
  • E2: Provides 2 stacks of Seele’s SPD boost when a Skill is used
  • E3: Skill and Talent level increased by +2, to a max of Level 15
  • E4: 15 energy points restored upon defeating an enemy
  • E5: Ult and Basic ATK level increased by +2, to a max of Level 15
  • E6:  Applying Seele’s Ult marks the enemy to take additional Quantum DMG when attacked next. Triggers Resurgence if the enemy is defeated by some other character while this is in effect.

As mostly evident, Eidolons provide quality of life for Seele’s playstyle, boosting her damage with every upgrade. However, Seele is a great character even at E0 and doesn’t necessarily need Eidolons. Proper Relics and builds can supplement the extra damage to some extent.

Being the first limited five-star, Seele has seen a lot of expectations from new players during the game launch. It is to be seen how she performs in the meta as the game progresses.
