“Hopefully is not gonna take long”: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Provides Update On Injury

“Hopefully is not gonna take long”: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Provides Update On Injury: The Arsenal striker took to Instagram to talk about his recently dealt injury blow

After finally breaking his goal scoring rut against Southampton by helping his club to a 1-1 draw with what was only his third goal of the season, it looked like Aubameyang hand finally broken free off the shackles engulfing him. However, the Arsenal striker has been dealt a massive setback with an injury ending him being sent on the injury bed ensuing that clash.

Arteta Confirms Injury

Ruled out of Arsenal’s playing against Everton, Mikel Arteta confirmed that Aubameyang was out of action due to an injury. The Arsenal manager confirmed that the nature of the injury was known, there was no clarity on the estimated return date.

“He’s got a small muscle injury so he will be out for a few days I think,” Arteta said when speaking about Aubameyang’s injury.

“I don’t know, we will have to assess him,” Arteta said when asked about the length of the injury.

Aubameyang Provides Update On Return

Ensuing Arteta’s comments, Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang took to Instagram to provide further insights into his situation. While he was unwilling to pencil in on a date as well, his comments are bound to go down well with Arsenal supporters.

“Im out today hopefully is not gonna take long to recover but im always behind my guys,” he posted on Instagram.

Arsenal who already find themselves in a dire attacking situation will be eagerly wishing for their lead striker to get a clean bill of health. Although Aubameyang has scored just thrice this term for the club, he continues to remain the most likely name to find the net with the striker having emerged as the club’s top scorer across the last couple of seasons.

Arsenal who are currently winless in the league since November find themselves precariously close to the relegation zone. The club is in sordid form, one where Aubameyang’s services will be needed to help them navigate a testing and congested festive period.
