How to Make a Brush in Minecraft Update 1.20

There has been a while since Mojang gave us a new tool. That is why, fans are really hyped to see what applications this new tool has in the game. However, this brush tool is not necessarily important for your survival. Although, it is a really convenient one to have since it gives you access to loot items inside the suspicious blocks.

Now, you cannot obtain a brush out in the wild but you can easily craft one from items. Let’s see how.

Collecting Ingredients

To make the brush you are going to collect simple ingredients found in the wild put them in a crafting table and voila! Let us look at all of them.

  • One Stick: You can get a stick by placing two wooden planks in a verticle line in the crafting table grid.
  • One Copper Ingot: Y coordinate levels have lots of copper you can mine. Bring that collected raw copper, put it in a furnace, smelt it and you have got yourself a copper ingot.
  • One Feather: You can find this item in either loot chests or by killing chickens. Parrots work too.

Putting it all Together

Open the crafting table and place the feather in the middle grid of the top row. Now place the copper ingot directly below it and the stick below the copper ingot and craft. This will create a brush. Now to enchant it, you will need an enchanting table.

There are a limited number of enchantments you can use for the brush. Let us look at two of the best ones.

Two Enchantments

The two best enchantments for the brush you can use are the Unbreaking and the Mending enchantment. Let us break down their uses.

  • Unbreaking: Unbreaking ensures that your tool lasts longer than usual and takes fewer repairs. This enchantment increases the durability of the tool. This enchantment has three levels to upgrade and you can use the enchantment table for it.
  • Mending: This enchantment is a difficult one to obtain. You can get it only by trading with librarians. Now, with this enchantment the experience points you collect will be used to repair the weapons. The more experience you collect with the tool, the more its sustainability increases.
