A cake is not the most practical if you want to curb your hunger in the game. However, it was added as a reward to the player base by Mojang. How to Make a Cake in Minecraft in Three Simple Steps
Gathering Materials
There are a couple of materials we will need to make the cake. This process becomes much easier if you have an animal farm in the game. In addition, if you are growing wheat crops, the steps reduce. However, let us look at what we are going to need to make this cake.
- Crafting Table
- Egg
- 2 Sugar
- 3 Wheat
- Milk
- 3 Buckets
You should already have a crafting table if you are this far along in making something like a cake in the game. If you do not, here is a simple tutorial on how to make it. Once you have your crafting table, let us search for Wheat, Eggs, and Sugarcane.
Find Chickens, if you do not have an animal farm you can find them in villages. They produce an egg every 5-10 minutes. When they do grab one. Find Sugarcane near water bodies. They will spawn in sand blocks near the water bodies. After you collect the sugarcane, put it on the crafting table and it will give you Sugar.
You can find Wheat in villages as well if you do not grow them yourself. We recommend growing them yourself since it will be an endless supply of food. You have to collect 3 Wheat for this recipe. For the milk, we will need the buckets so let us look at the next section.
Making Three Buckets
Search for Iron Ore in caves. They are silver-colored blocks you can find by diving deep into caves and extracting them. You need to collect 9 blocks of iron ore to make three buckets. Once you collect the iron ore, open your crafting table and place three ores in a V formation and craft. This will make a bucket. Rinse and repeat to make two more.
Now that you have buckets. Search for Cows. This is where your animal farm comes in handy. Even if you don’t cows are really easy to find in the world. Find a cow and equip your bucket and right-click on it. Rinse and repeat for two more buckets.
Assembling Everything Together and Making the Cake
Now that we have everything let us put it together to make the cake. Open your crafting table and place three buckets of milk on the first row and the 3 Wheat blocks in the third row. Only the middle row should be empty. Now for the middle row, place the egg in the middle grid and sugar on either side of the egg and craft.
