The newest map in Valorant has three bombsites, just like Haven. But it might be a little tough to navigate, because of the revolving doors.
The newest map has a lot of tight corners, long hallways, archways, and short cubbies that can be hard to see. The B Bombsite has a lot of angles from which you can get shot at. That is why, if you haven’t figured out how to approach the map, we got you. ValCoach recently posted a Twitter thread showing an essential strategy on Lotus. Let us take a look at what you can do with this information.

First, we will discuss which area matters the most at the start of the round.
what space matters EARLY on attack?
• A-Lobby (Root/Rubble)
• C-Lobby
• B-MainDetailed examples below! 1/9 pic.twitter.com/Jt0d6dKmbl

They have given a detailed diagram of how to take space in each area. However, you will need specific agents to execute, which is impossible unless you’re 5 stacking.
how to execute on A
• Initiator util first to help duelist
• Take site quickly (CT’s will likely be trapped on-site)
• Prioritize crossfires & use util to delay retakeDetailed examples below! 2/9 pic.twitter.com/zXCbLnHeap

Next is the A execute. The best tip on A is for Initiators to flash, stun, and suppress the enemies for Duelists to take advantage. This gives an advantage for Ts since CTs will be trapped and flashed. Then all that is left is to trade and delay the retake.
how to execute on B
• Initiator util to clear close angles
• PUSH CT / A-link for easier postplant
• Play off the contact of your teammates in postDetailed examples below! 3/9 pic.twitter.com/LQap61O9Dh
— ValCoach (@ValCoach_co) January 21, 2023
Same start for B. However, it is advisable to push CT to spawn and play off the teammate’s contact for the best results.
how to execute on C
• Initiator util to clear close angles
• Go FAST, any open angle to CT is VERY risky
• don’t be afraid to have one player off-siteDetailed examples below! 4/9 pic.twitter.com/KmKvYxa5Tp
— ValCoach (@ValCoach_co) January 21, 2023
Similar start to clear close angles and execute fast on this site. The advisable thing is not to push CT but have any other player lurk or be off-site.
what space matters EARLY on defense?
• A-Lobby (Root/Rubble)
• C-Lobby
• B-MainDetailed examples below! 5/9 pic.twitter.com/iUpIDMVWWX

On defense, B Main, C Lobby, and A Lobby matter the most and are the most convenient.
how to RETAKE on A
• Use initiator & controller util early
• Scale site with utility
• Use AOE util to clear common spotsDetailed examples below! 6/9 pic.twitter.com/RFY4zi3qY9
— ValCoach (@ValCoach_co) January 21, 2023
For A site retakes, using Initiators and Controllers is essential. Ensure utility is used continuously while grenades are used to clear hiding spots.
how to RETAKE on B
• Clear flank/lurks (if needed) before scaling
• Pinch from multiple directions
• Use utility to take favorable fights earlyDetailed examples below! 7/9 pic.twitter.com/xnapoXYr8X
— ValCoach (@ValCoach_co) January 21, 2023
Clearing flanks before retaking B is essential. As B has multiple entries, covering all areas will make it easier to defuse, and utility usage is essential.
how to RETAKE on C
• Use initiator util early for site info
• scale TOGETHER with util
• use utility to corner & control the enemyDetailed examples below! 8/9 pic.twitter.com/g656AlQip5

Finally, for C, getting information is critical, pushing on-site together with utility and controlling the fight’s pace. These are the basics of the map, which will help you get some advantage over the uninitiated. Check out ValCoach on Twitter for more tips and coaching!
