Step 1 – A Few Prerequisities
Before you directly hop onto the Strider. Let us see some things you need. You will need a saddle and a warped mushroom on a stick. You can find a tutorial on how to create a saddle below. To get a warped mushroom, search the Nether in the Crimson or the Warped Forest; you will easily find a warped mushroom. Open the crafting table, put the mushroom on the top left and a fishing rod in the middle. This will make a warped mushroom on a stick.
Step 2 – Finding a Strider and Hopping On
Go to the bottom of the Nether near the lava; this is usually where you will find most of the Striders. They do not attack you and are passive creatures. Once a Strider gets close to you, put the Saddle on it by Right-clicking and then hop on it.
Step 3 – Leading the Strider Around
You can use the warped mushroom on a stick to lead the Strider around the lava. It is the only thing you can use; consider it a lead we use on other animals. This is the last step to getting control of the Strider.
