However, Pochettino was quick to himself acknowledge the stature of the tie awaiting him. Speaking ahead of the Champions League semi-final in Paris, Pochettino talked about Guardiola and was quick to make his admiration for the Spaniard evident.
“I admire him and think he is doing a fantastic job,” Pochettino commented on Pep.
“He is an amazing coach, always thinking of different strategies and game-plans. I love to challenge him and the teams he prepared. Not only the best manager. The club is important, too. A club that trusts you to build a team and provides you with all the tools.”
For both the clubs, the imminent showdown comes bearing with it colossal ramifications. Both the clubs have charted an akin path in the world of football with the Champions League continuing to remain elusive for them.

City on the other hand defeated a Bundesliga club as well in the previous round. The club got the better of a resilient and perseverant Borussia Dortmund unit to assure its passage in the forthcoming semi-final.
City meanwhile are well on course to life another Premier League trophy.
