ICC takes dig at Donald Trump after his incorrectly pronounces Sachin Tendulkar's name

ICC takes dig at US President Donaldo Trump after he mispronounces the former Indian batsmen’s name during his speech at Motera stadium.

Donald Trump landed in Ahemdabad today morning ahead of his much awaited public show, “Namaste Trump” accompanied by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and first lady of USA Melina Trump.

The President of the United States gave an energetic speech while addressing a gigantic crowd at the newly made Motera Stadium. While talking about the ties with India, Trump tried to impress by naming the most adored things to Indians- DDLJ, Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli.

“India is a creative hub that creates over 2000 movies from Bollywood a year. All over the planet people take great joy in watching Bollywood films, bhangra, and classic films like DDLJ and Sholay. You cheer on great cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli.” said Trump.

The POTUS was precise in mentioning the things Indians love the most, especially Sachin Tendulkar, but he made a big mistake in pronouncing his name, which led many people trolling him online.

Including the World governing body, ICC, who made a special video to troll Trump after he called ‘Sachin Tendulkar’ as ‘Soochin’ Tendulkar at the Motera stadium.

ICC tweeted a video where they can be seen modifying Sachin’s name to Soo-chin Tendulkar from their database. The video immediately got a hilarious response across the globe.

PM Modi also addressed the crowd and thanked Trump and his wife Melania for visiting the Sabarmati Ashram. Modi also recalled the ‘Howdy Modi’ event, which had garnered much attention about five months ago.

Modi also thanked Trump after he ended his speech and left the event waving to the public and fans cheering for them. Post the Motera Stadium visit, Trump and his wife were scheduled to travel to Agra in order to visit the Taj Mahal.
