India is set to host Bangladesh for their World Cup qualifier match on October 15th. The Blue Tigers are yet to win a game in two attempts. However, they have showed incredible heart and determination in their showing so far.

Despite dominating the first half against Oman, Igor Stimac’s men conceded late goals to lose the match 2-1. In the next match however, they played a much better game as they held Asian Champions Qatar to a goalless draw despite Qatar having 27 shots on target!
Bangladesh on the other hand, have lost both their opening matches. They lost by a solitary goal vs Afghanistan before losing 2-0 to Qatar. Although, they will take a lot of confidence from the fact that they survived an onslaught from the Asian Champions.
Bangladesh have never beaten India in a game of football. However, they will be looking to make history when the two teams face on October 15th. India on the other hand will also be looking to notch their first win in the qualifiers.
After the defensive masterpiece against Qatar, Indian coach Stimac urged fans to turn up in big numbers of the home fixture saying,
“Our performance against Qatar is an invitation to fans for our next home game. We have heard a lot about the passion for football in Kolkata. I want to see a full house at the YBK Stadium fans in Kolkata for our match against Bangladesh.”
