Indian Cricket Team news: Virat Kohli and Co. arrive in London to take part in the upcoming 2019 Cricket World Cup in England and Wales

The Indian Cricket Team, under the leadership of Virat Kohli arrived at the London Airport to kick-off their 2019 Cricket World Cup campaign, which is set to begin from May 30, 2019.
Before the main tournament, India will face the likes of New Zealand and Bangladesh on May 25 and May 28 respectively for its 2 practice matches.
India will lock horns against the formidable South African side in their World Cup opener on June 5, 2019 at the Hampshire Bowl, in Southampton.

The tournament will be conducted in the round-robin format- the one which was last exercised during the 1992 World Cup. Here, all the 10 participating teams will face each other, before the top 4 teams (in the points table) advance towards the semi-final stage.
Skipper Virat Kohli, and head coach of the Indian Cricket Team, Ravi Shastri on Tuesday, addressed a Press Conference at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai before the London departure.
Virat exclaimed the fact that Team India is a formidable and a well-balanced, strong side and will expect his fellow cricketers to play to the best of their potentials in the World Cup. He also made sure that signs of complacency does not creep in as he asserted that this is going to be a challenging World Cup, wherein any side can topple the other on their day.
Coach Ravi Shastri also cited the strength of the Afghan side, as he opined that the there is a huge difference between the Afghanistan of 2015 and the one today, making sure that the Indian side approaches each game with the same vigour and intensity, irrespective of the reputation of the opposition.
Nevertheless, upon the Indian Team’s arrival in London, the BCCI and skipper Kohli posted the picture of the entire team bearing the captions- “Touchdown London #TeamIndia”, and “Touchdown UK” respectively.
