Young Indian spinner Washington Sundar was injured ahead of the first T20I against Ireland and had to be carried off the ground with the help of the support staff.

At the beginning of the UK tour, the Indian team reached London. It was in London than the team exercised and practiced in the nets. They also had a couple of training sessions in London.

However, the first match of the two match T20I series against Ireland is to be played at the Village in Dublin. The Irish city was a few hours drive from London. It was just few hours before the match that the team finally reached Dublin and took part in their maiden training session on the ground.

However, the move does not bring good news for the team as within the first hour of the training session young off spinner Washington Sundar was injured. He had to be carried off the ground with the help of the support staff.

Sundar sustained an injury in his ankle and was hardly able to move. It was then that members of the support staff helped him to move outside the field.

Although it was doubtful that Sundar would actually make an appearance in the playing XI, he is a very talented cricketer and a definite future prospect.

Sundar represented India in the Nidahas trophy and fared well for the team, bowling both in the power play overs and in the middle overs. The youngster was also picked by the Virat Kohli led franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL. However, he did not have a great run of form and was dropped after a few matches.
